In today's world, technology has become a decisive factor also in the translation industry. As demand is skyrocketing, deadlines are getting tighter. Translation memory systems (TMS). These systems help us to keep linguistic consistency in our translations when several translators and editors have to work simultaneously on a project, in order to complete it on time. TMS also reduce turn-around time and cost, since all translations can be recycled, once they have been stored in the database. (TMS must not be confused with machine translation tools. We do not use machine translations, since they can only be applied in a very narrow segment of highly repetitive texts with limited terminology etc., in order to render acceptable results. We rather rely on the linguistic and technical experience of our human translators and editors, but we make use of today's proven technology such as TMS.)

File Transfer Protocol Server. Customers and partners can use our secure internet FTP server, in order to quickly upload or download large volumes of data, or in order to avoid exposure of critical information to e-mail transfer. This also saves time and money. Depending on the speed of your internet connection, you can exchange data volumes in the region of giga bytes with us within minutes.

Leonardo protocol. For Macintosh users, we provide the possibility to establish a direct connection with one of our Apple computers and exchange data at ISDN speed. Please request the access information to our Leonardo card, if this is of interest to you. (Send e-mail to BMT)
